If you are a legacy site that wants to be serious about subscriptions, the first step is getting off #WordPress. You aren't going to be successful running a subscription site using an architecture built out of a bunch of Lincoln logs.

One year two thing I'd like to do at @theflytrapmedia.com is upgrade our @outpost.pub tier so we can start offering institutional and group subscriptions. Not saying 'it sure would be nice if we got enough new subscribers to justify the expense' except for how I am :)

It would be nothing, like NOTHING, for a handful of lefty donors to fund a pipeline for truly leftist media that could rival the fascist apparatus and give hundreds of fact-oriented journalists jobs and set up dozens, maybe hundreds, of local news outfits, fully staffed, for 5+ years or more
