The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) turns 50 today. I fear it could be the last year the law is intact. It was never fully funded by any administration, nor is it a perfect solution for inclusion. But its existence has been a vital path to education access. We must protect it.

Pattern recognition is both terrible and wonderful. How do we stop the misinformation that occurs as movements spread? It leaves founding advocates constantly having to correct large ‘new ND’ accounts. It becomes a battle of ego instead of newer advocates learning movement history from founders

Fun fact: we can be angry at antivaxxers without being ableist. This "natural selection" trope is bullshit. There are people who can not be vaccinated for medical reasons, who have compromised immune systems, and who are literal babies too young to be vaccinated fully. They don't deserve to die.
