A public execution (of a disabled man no less) is a giant leap into fascism. This is not something Democratic societies do. It’s a show of cruelty and force designed to scare people… and it won’t deter crime. If anything it’ll backfire and encourage copycats. Shameful on every possible level.

Goodnight. Illustration of Ghost Walk by Phiz for Bleak House, Charles Dickens
The Ghost's Walk by Phiz (Hablot Knight Browne) for Charles Dickens' novel Bleak House. It is one of the "dark plates" from the series, which were created using a new etching technique to produce a mysterious, misty look.
The illustration depicts a dark, atmospheric night scene at Chesney Wold, the home of Lady Dedlock. A large, ornate building with lit windows is visible on the left, with a prominent staircase and balustrade leading down to a terrace. A large, dark tree stands in the foreground, and the sky is filled with heavy clouds, though a faint light is visible on the horizon.

Everyone should be fighting for Universal Healthcare and disability rights. Health is fragile. You can become disabled or chronically ill in an instant. It’s not a moral failing. It can wipe out your savings and leave you destitute. Healthcare is a basic human right.
