The long and short of it is that my family members were the products of a long multi-generational chain of abuse, and after 30+ years of putting up with this I finally realized they were too broken or too stubborn to change for the better. I jumped ship so I wouldn’t be pulled down with them.

Thinking about the issue of losing physical media when it comes to gaming—I really think the best solution (for now) is to start using SD/MicroSD cards + adapters and stop using devices that are strictly game consoles. Even backwards compatibility only gets you so far.

Re-evaluating my concerns about the art style/graphics for the OoT remake because I’m just now realizing that what they’re giving us is a current-gen interpretation of the concept art from the original game. I used to own the official game guide book w/ all the character illustrations. I forgot.

I think largely losing my sense of smell has fixed my inability to enjoy spicy foods. :’D I’ll still run the other direction if expected to consume really hot peppers, but now there’s just a lot of foods that don’t taste right without raw onion/kimchi/ginger/horseradish/etc.

Things I’ve learned today, towards creating an ideal writing set-up; - they sell kits on Etsy to convert alphasmart keyboards to mechanical ones - if I can remove the wifi card from a PC and still have it recognize an Ethernet connection when needed, this would solve a lot of security concerns
