I am not a perfect person. Far from it. I try to make sure that I’m a better person today than I was yesterday. I don’t always succeed. Maybe not even often enough. I try. Social media doesn’t want you to be a better person. It doesn’t want you to try. It wants you to be worse, for engagement.

It kind of blows my mind how much we pretend like dems don't have to negotiate anything if they get a majority in Nov. Like, we're really pretending that either 1) Trump will rubber stamp any dem bills or 2) government will operate of its own inertia with no spending bills negotiated by both sides

I’m sick of “we need an FDR Democrat.” FDR intentionally abetted redlining. He put Japanese Americans in prison camps. He sent Jewish refugees back to Germany to be slaughtered, knowing what awaited them. I want a Biden/Clyburn Democrat, not an FDR one.
