A Trump official diverted firefighting resources to a fire on his private ranch. He got 9 aircraft for the 7-acre fire while the 90,000 acre Grasshopper fire in Oregon got about the same. These guys kneecapped wildfire prevention and now they’re diverting what few resources remain for personal gain.

State officials received 97(!!) complaints from voters who felt lied to or deceived by the signature gathering effort. Officials say that’s the most complaints they’ve seen on a single petition since adopting a record-keeping system 7 years ago. And PPA still failed to gather enough signatures.

The Oregon Secretary of State’s office has opened an investigation into allegations of misconduct against a campaign to divert PCEF funds to police. The state has so far received 28 of these complaints, which allege petitioners are misleading voters about the proposal or its funding source.

PCEF dollars support public health and green economic development. Redirecting dollars - be it to Moda center renovations or armed police officers - would reduce those critical civic benefits in direct defiance of the will of voters.
