Layering things for the shop animations is nuts. Its kinda funny how the shop screen is the single most involved thing in the game, yet the most rushed through thing by players. (NO micro-transactions, just in-game earned currency) #gamedev #game #indiedev #topgnome

An interesting thing we have noticed about our game. Once you get used to the mechanics and "git gud" it behaves kinda like a mental fidget spinner. People with ADHD seem to be able to focus in conversation better, including the devs :)

The funny thing is I basically never used Twitter (I refuse to call it X), and despite just starting here it feels so much better to use. So I'll be much more active here as a result. Expect a lot of programming and gamedev nonsense coming from me for the foreseeable future.

Fun fact! The sound for eating a heart fruit in our game came from a walk in the woods. I found a dried, hallow oak apple, and crunched it into the microphone. It was the first sound I tried for that SFX, but it turned out to be the best. #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev #gnomes
