if I could give one piece of advice to newly transitioning trans people, I wouldn't make it about choosing a name or how to present yourself I would say: don't treat life like something that happens to you don't treat the world like content you consume make things happen create your life

Last night Amber and I listened to the first few chapters of Taylor Tomlinson‘s new book together and it was lovely! A very pleasant time. Taylor loves her siblings So Much. It’s really nice to hear about the sibling bond from an adult who enjoys their siblings.

Took the dogs out to a park first thing and now trying to enjoy the quiet. I have not done my therapy homework and therapy is tomorrow. Hoping I manage at least a bit of the work. Head is hurting quite badly - but we soldier on.

Thank you for posting and sharing! we almost have enough for Fletcher and Beskar’s vet treatments! We are about 250 or 300 away from what they need next week! If we do fundraiser push like yesterday we will have the total for the dogs covered.

Very funny of Past Brooke to schedule therapy sooner than usual, for the first time I’m supposed to do internal thinking and write various things around that. Therapy is Friday and I haven’t done shit. Very adhd of me. Am I gonna have to lock myself away until that is done so I do it? Maybe.

I’m too overwhelmed with migraine pain and exhaustion, to drive Amber to her appt. Which means mom has to do it on the day she closes on her new house. I feel just awful, like everything keeps building up in me. Having a hard time over here in the Shank house. Gonna have a little cry and nap.

I hate churches. I didn’t like growing up in one and I loathe them now. But my parent’s church has a big congregation and some serious capital + ability to fundraise. I asked her (again) to see if they would get involved with our Haitian refugees. My hope is they’ll decide stand in solidarity.

Like it's always been a problem with produce and baked goods, the logistics of food distribution is just not on your side no matter what you do. But, there's tons of people who've seen it get *worse* recently and rapidly, and in very similar ways.

If journalists weren't busy slurping the hogshit, there's definitely an interesting story behind how suppliers for food banks have been trying to pass off such as recalled produce. Like, food banks have *always* had a problem dealing with expirations, but it's much worse now.

Pleasant morning, but it’s been a very stressful afternoon. I’m exhausted and feeling a lot of stress. I’m trying to manage stress better - starting with admitting it is happening instead of shutting down the signals. Things feel hopeless. Gonna listen to comfort tunes and hopefully game some.

Know when you have to deal w/a man who locked onto you, lest he become violent? I didn’t have money for this. But soothing this dude seemed important to prevent escalation. So I bought the chips & let him tell me about his life while he continued to leer & try to get closer to me the whole time.
