Well, that it is NOT an uplifting birthday-type film, even if, or perhaps ESPECIALLY if, you are a fan of Bill Evans. I came out honestly wondering why on earth 291071

Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Went to a Sunday morning record fair and bought some albums by Edith Piaf, Randy Newman, Nina Simone, Ian Dury, The Pentangle, Simon and Garfunkel and Carole King. Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Now that our weather has gone mad it strikes me as odd that we went on about it so much in the past when it was literally doing NOTHING. We could have ignored it! We frittered away our chance! 41037
Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 12/08/2026So my glasses arrived and I hadn’t appreciated that they were in a Union Jack pattern so unfortunately it looked like I was out canvassing for Reform. Anyway, the eclipse was good wasnt it! 101403

Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 04/08/2026You know when people say a book is funny and you go and buy it and it just isn't funny and that happens to me so often. BUT - I AM HERE TO SAY THAT THIS BOOK IS FUNNY. And also v good.thebookerprizes.comBlack Bag | The Booker PrizesA warped campus novel, an investigation into the crisis of masculinity and an off-kilter love story, Black Bag is a firework of a novel: blazingly funny and profoundly humane 5631

Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Ben and I did our cinema thing today - same cinema, different films. We did that on one of our first *dates*, some 45 years ago (Southern Comfort, Tess of the D'Urbervilles). Today I did The Invite, he did The Odyssey (and is STILL in there 😬). 91826

Tracey Thorn @traceythorn.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Sitting in my usual cafe, recovering from last night’s show with a coffee. I don’t sleep well after a gig. Adrenaline, which is so useful in getting you on stage, has nowhere to go afterwards, so you lie in bed with it tugging at your attention. I probably should have just gone on to a club 🙄 71634
