I’ve seen people make really detailed historical explanations as to why Zionism is racist, & you know what maybe it is. But this isn’t about some intellectual study. This is the new policy of one of the big 5 political parties, so how people actually view the meaning of the word matters more.

Taking a step back from this, and thinking about the process and how this mess happened. It might be wrong but AI told me, concessions aside, it’s £110 p/y to vote for Green Party policies, of which around 1.5% voted yesterday of its 220k members. It did say the party is considering changes here..

I can’t understand why the Green Party have dropped the ball in the week of Zack’s by election. It’s garbage that he needed to leave conference for his campaign before the vote, An hour or two wouldn’t have made any difference, or less difference than this vote result has done. It’s cowardly.

I had another nice dinner gathering over the weekend but was getting irritated by the Reform UK supporter in the group. What’s pathetic about these people though often is you just have to ask them to clarify what it is they’re actually saying and they can’t do it & eventually give up!

This is a big mistake from the Green Party. This makes coalition in a future Government, as good as impossible. This is why, despite some very good work by the Greens, I continue to vote Lib Dem, as the more sensible, grown up and today arguably, more inclusive party.

The 2012 Diamond Jubilee saw a big celebration event in my home village. Nothing on that scale has come since. It was funded by local groups and the local pub but what elevated it to a higher level was funding from two supermarkets who both owned land and were competing for planning permission

To lose a loved one is awful, but I can’t imagine the loss of one’s child. I can relate to wanting closure & acceptance of the facts as best they are known. For the parents of babies who died at Chester Hospital now have to accept the reality there’s a strong case an innocent person is in prison.

The assumption is, we won’t get the injuries we’ve sustained for the last 3 seasons, but what if we do! What if we lose another 5 or 6 key players during the winter for the rest of the season. If that happens, we’re relegated, because we’re not gaining enough points with a normal squad.

Talk of Andy Burnham weighing up calling an early general election. Why? The mandate given to him offers enough space and scope to work with & he’s unlikely to win more seats than in 2024. I like Zarah Sultana. I think she’s a nice person and her morals and her political stances are very agreeable. She cares for people & fights for minorities. But always taking the “you’re either completely with me, or you’re against me” approach doesn’t get you very far in having real influence.
