It's too bad to see Oregon State University use outdated categories for gender identification even in their new employee management software. "Transgender" is an adjective, not a gender. Including options for "woman" and "transgender woman" is like including options for "woman" and "tall woman."
A dropdown gender identification menu. The options are: agender; genderqueer; man; prefer not to answer; non-binary, including gender fluid; trans man; transgender; trans woman; questioning or unsure; woman.

Big news out of #EGU26 by @elisecutts.bsky.social for @science.org: Measures of the record-setting 1.2-million-year-old continuous ice core drilled by Beyond EPICA show that CO2 swings likely did help cause the mysterious transition to 100,000-year-long ice ages.

Can we have a ruling on whether #Artemis II is (a) "a mission to the Moon" or do we have to say (b) "a lunar flyby" just because they're not landing? I say (a) is okay: they're definitely going to the Moon! And past it! They're just not touching down.

Climate snapshots trapped in ancient ice tell a surprising story
Antarctic ice cores hint that changes in the ocean might have played a larger part than have greenhouse gases in key climate shifts of the past three million years.
