It's Weird Duck Time again! I made this comic a few years ago, and I was unsure if anyone else felt like winter was best characterized as the time of the weird ducks. The term has caught on and I've heard people using it without knowing where it's from, which is the highest possible honor.

A four-panel comic called "The Four Seasons of Bird Watching." In Panel 1, titled Elegant Songbird Spring, a yellow-throated vireo is singing against a green backdrop. In panel 2, titled Subtle Treasure of Summer, a hermit thrush sits in a lush deep woods. In panel 3, titled Magnificent Fall Migrations, broad-winged hawks fly over a colorful fall forest. In panel 4, titled Weird Duck Time, three ducks are calling exuberantly: a northern shoveler, red-breasted merganser, and surf scoter.
