Two stick out for me. There is a horse called Bela and also the 'famous story' someone recounts of the farmer who beat 2 famous warriors with a staff. There are a few more that I've noticed. Pirate is a WoT fan and her Grandad was a huge RJ fan.

Labour ministers are apparently ruling out scrapping the two-child benefit cap - in other words, choosing to keep 600,000 children in poverty. Meanwhile govt refuses to consider a wealth tax which could £24bn. Hard to find the words for this level of unnecessary cruelty.

Two German tourists went on holiday to Hawaii for 3 weeks. But they never left the airport. They were arrested, interrogated for 7.5 hours, accused of intending to work illegally with zero proof. They were held in prison for 3 days then deported. DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE USA.

I think the Dark One removes Lanfear's ability to use the True Power during the fight with Moiraine because Lanfear had failed to stop Rand declaring himself Car'a'carn. You can see the surprise and worry on her face when she tries to heal herself from the wound Lan gave her.
