Did you see the Shesterkin goal though?

Everyone has their quirks. 😅

Awww I love running in the rain. 😅

Lupus sucks. That’s all I’ve got to say right now.

Where does #California’s water go, and how could climate change reshape it? A new UC-led COEQWAL tool helps Californians explore water flows, management choices and trade-offs. UC ANR’s Kristin Dobbin, a #UCCE specialist, is part of the project. ucanr.edu/blog/green-b...

The UC Berkeley-led COEQWAL project is helping communities explore how shifting the state’s water priorities could impact agriculture, cities and ecosystems.

The only Fit4Mom instructor I like is the one who is also GenX, who plays 90’s hip-hop, all of the rest of them play T-Swift.

Oh no, this wasn’t on my radar!

I went to Davis for undergrad, and made up for it by going to Santa Cruz for grad school. 🥺

I’m so proud of myself for trolling our neighbors.

We just had to cancel a vacation over this (and another series of events). 😭 The battery has never been replaced in my car and is underneath a seat so it takes some actual work to replace.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer I lived in a mud hut and slept on a stick bed outside. My dog and cat slept on the bed with me, mostly for my protection. They kept everything away from me (along with a mosquito net).

Update on our canceled family vacation turned staycation: my daughter got to be home for Trash Truck Day!

All I hear from that is that the students are quiet.

I haven’t, I’ll have to look for it for the next time we make it to the city - we wound up not making that far today. 😂

Happy Michaelmas! In some parts of Ireland on this day, rent could be paid in geese. If you’re due to pay rent this month, please consider setting a very irritated goose on your landlord in lieu of payment, in the name of upholding important Irish traditions.

A drawing of mine of a goose looking concerned, with a tag around its neck that reads "This month's rent, with thanks".

Norway has solution to this actually, stay at home parents can get their share of the public daycare subsidy as cash, that way parents are not pushed one way or the other. the problem of course is virtually no one on the center or right actually gives a shit about parents

Every trip to Marin for us includes Sol, my husband’s Puerto Rican. 😂 We decided to stay more local but I’ll be going soon to the Discovery with some other mom friends.

This is a huge undertaking! Lucky you!

New @nytimes.com piece ranks 30 education interventions on both effectiveness & costs. For me, the key takeaway is NOT about what academics (including myself) rated as most effective or least costly. It is about the decision making process districts use. 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2026/09/28/u...

We’re trying to make lemonade out of lemons and go on a day trip in lieu of a canceled, much larger trip. Any NorCal locals with a toddler recommend either Marin or the Presidio/Tunnel Tops for a workday (ie we know we’ll be battling traffic the entire time).

My dad and brother both went to UC Santa Barbara, and they have both now lost their college BFF’s/roommates to ALS.

I’m looking for recommendations on the best small air purifier that is very elderly-friendly/for a tech averse senior citizen that has simple buttons and is easy to maintain. Please send any suggestions my way.

My therapist is going on maternity leave soon and I’ve contemplated temporarily working with another therapist who I had seen prior to her just so I don’t have to rehash everything completely, is there someone else you could see at least while you’re figuring out what to do?

I’m so sorry Anne. I’m glad you have your best friend to talk to.

That’s the first that comes to mind when I see Mole.

I ran into a grey fox during my run in the foothills this morning! I initially thought it was a coyote but have since been corrected.

With Davis Health it appears to be system-wide and they have a statement about it if you try to make an appointment. With Sutter it appears to be inland Sutter- the providers I’ve spoken to have said they ordered but have not gotten any. Funny how they’re in stock in the Bay Area but not here.

With traffic I’m looking at hours of driving.

We’re traveling next week and I was only able to get our flu shots with Sutter (same with Davis, which has gone a step further to officially state that they have paused COVID vaccines).

Sutter *Inland* - must be organized separately geographically I think.

It is insane to me that both Sutter Health and UC Davis Health are pausing their COVID vaccines right now.

I forgot to mention it here, but I managed to podium at a 10K this weekend. I found myself initially not giving myself enough credit, pointing out that it was a small race, and was for my age group, but it did feel good to feel like all of the hours of training I did, almost all solo, paid off.

Ouh!!!!!!! This looks amazing! I wonder how long it might take an almost 3 year old to get through. 😂
