Canada's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is this Wednesday 9/30. This is an opportunity to learn about historical & ongoing injustices perpetrated against indigenous people, and think about what actions we can take to address them. Many thanks to Musqueam for putting this video together.

Thinking about 2022/2023 when panic arose about *the idea* of students using ChatGPT to write their papers like it was the end of education. As someone who reviews submissions to OER Commons, I promise that poorly edited AI-generated OER is just as bad & deserves more attention than it gets.

Getting a lot of emails from different orgs saying happy holidays, so voila. As you can see, I am an artist whose talents are wasted in librarianship. :) OER Commons is open, but our responses may be delayed because we're all so, so tired, and taking much needed rest. We hope you are too!

Blue text that reads "Happy Holidays from OER Commons Librarians! See you next year." there is also a blue smiley face, and a cc-by mark in the bottom right corner. The text overlays an image, obviously made in MS paint, of three yellow stars of various sizes and a green oval with red outline. It is festive.

OER Commons is free, for everyone, forever. That's by design! And gosh darn it, we're gonna keep supporting Open Education no matter what. This year we could use some help making that happen. So if you've got a bit of cash to spare, we'd appreciate it. www.iskme.org/donate/ Thanks. :) -Peter
