As human induced climate chaos continues to ratchet up, might it be advisable for evacuations prior to tornado outbreaks similar to hurricane evacuations? As of right now catastrophic damage is happening in Salem, Ms.—it might be leveled. And this is only the beginning of Saturday’s outbreak…😬

Vinyls are precious. Within album covers are details of how the music on that miraculous, round black disc came to life—-algorithm generated music does not have the life that vinyls contain.

Good day for escape into music! More specifically, my vinyls . Now playing: Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life❤️🎼🎶

It was good to see U of Alabama warning students yesterday to not return to campus from spring break until Sunday.

Today is the day, Mississippi & Alabama friends. NOAA: "A tornado outbreak is expected across the central Gulf Coast States and Deep South into the Tennessee Valley. Numerous significant tornadoes, some of which should be long-track and potentially violent, are expected this afternoon and evening."

Universities in the south are telling students, who are in safer locations, to return to campus Sunday or Monday due to severe weather. Human induced climate chaos unfolding in real time. This outbreak could be catastrophic for a huge swath of the u.s.

Alabama, like other states, depends on NOAA warnings for early preparedness for events like this. Early preparedness saves lives. But Trump & Musk are killing off NOAA. www.al.com/weather/2025...

A quick update on the total climf&%kery that's taking place. Through March 11th, 2025, the monthly average global surface temperature for March, 2025 is the hottest on record. The madness of this moment is going to end horrifically for most living creatures. And that is incredibly sad.

As much of a doomer as I’ve been (for a long time) it’s hard to imagine these weather events when we get to 2c and beyond which will be faster than expected.

Accurate Flood Maps are Essential for Climate Adaptation

Such an important fact! Most people have no clue about this or what it means. I strongly suspect this and other climate change impacts are not factored into any flood mapping. And in the u.s. any discussion of this will be banned 😠🤯😳 www.nrdc.org/bio/rob-moor...

Trump is slashing another 1,000 jobs at NOAA. The National Weather Service, which is part of NOAA, provides life saving weather forecasting in the US. A study found that for every $1 invested in NWS, it produces $73 in value to Americans. Again, this isn't about efficiency.

Multiple sources tell The Associated Press that the Trump Administration is starting another round of job cuts — this one more than 1,000 — at the nation’s weather, ocean and fisheries agency.
