(thought i would just write a few words... well 2000 words later here i am, what's wrong with me? enjoy x) Prim and proper, that was Hermione Granger. Everyone knew her as the embodiment of order; utterly ordinary, impossibly dull, and essentially a stuck-up war heroine.

I think about this tumblr post a lot. Avoid the tar pits.

A screenshot of a Tumblr Exchange:

1. in this terrifying world you continuously have the power to offer someone else a little relief. why would you withold that. do you remember what a little relief feels like? it feels like a lot.

2. excuse me? are you suggesting I frolic directly into someone's emotional space and assume what brings them relief, potentially causing more stress? are you encouraging people to reach past their own boundaries to help, increasing net suffering if it costs more than the other gains? surely not; that would be advocating for emotional self-harm.

1. this is a post about the woman who waived my late fee at the bank.

2. good for you, good for her, the wording of the initial post feels closer to blaming people who don't reach out rather than celebrating those who do by a large enough margin that I feel the need to hit back.

1. You are a tar pit.

Hermione sat at the kitchen table as her hands wrapped tightly around a mug she hadn’t touched. The tea bag floated near the rim, steeping its last drops in the already dark brew. Her eyes were still red from silent tears, drying on her freckled cheeks.

Emotional repression, dry wit, and a goddaughter with Granger's eyes. It’s only going to hurt a little; or a lot. Prologue is up ✒️ (Thyra, age gap, slow burn, bittersweet): archiveofourown.org/works/641014...

“what if my fic isn’t good 😭” what if it’s good? what if it comforts someone? what if it becomes someone’s favorite work? what if you find people who enjoy the same things as you? so what if it ends up being bad, what if it brings you joy?

Draco hated flying. Correction – Draco hated flying Economy. After all, what was the point of inheriting an investment firm and millions of pounds if he didn’t use them to charter private jets or, at the very least, buy some decent leg room?

Today in Milan, a student activist group hung a trash-filled effigy of Musk upside down on a gate outside of piazzale Loreto, where Mussolini's body was displayed in 1945. They left the message: "C'è sempre posto a piazzale Loreto, Elon" (There's always room in piazzale Loreto, Elon)
