This is APPALLING. The Trump administration is detaining multiple random Somali immigrants with no criminal record at Guantanamo Bay, seemingly because the White House ordered ICE specifically to detain Somalis at Gitmo as part of its effort to punish an ethnic group Trump has attacked.
According to Mohamed, guards at Guantanamo have said they are being held there because that's what officials in Washington, DC, want. "There's no other nation, only Somali people in Guantanamo Bay, in the prison," he told me. "And when we ask them why we are here, they tell us... Washington...ordered to keep Somali people in the Guantanamo Bay."

Israel performed a literal quadruple tap attack in Lebanon to massacre three separate sets of medics. Truly pushing the bounds of human depravity. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...
When they received the call to respond to an Israeli airstrike in the city of Mayfadoun, in southern Lebanon, most of the paramedics held back, having previously seen colleagues killed by double-tap attacks targeting rescuers. But the medics from the Islamic Health Association (IHA) rushed to the scene.

By the time the other emergency workers arrived at the site, they found the IHA medics had indeed been caught in a second strike. They started evacuating their wounded colleagues, only for their ambulances to be hit in two further attacks.

One of the paramedics covered his ears and screamed, convulsing in pain as shrapnel shattered the back window of the ambulance.

The rescue mission on Wednesday afternoon had turned into a nightmare as Israel carried out three consecutive strikes on three sets of ambulances and medical workers.

‘Everything is gone’: Israel destroys entire villages in Lebanon
Rights groups fear tactic of ‘domicide’ trialled in Gaza, where entire areas are made uninhabitable, is being used again The Israeli military has demolished entire villages as part of its invasion of south Lebanon, rigging homes with explosives and razing them to the ground in massive remote detonations. The Guardian reviewed three videos posted by the Israeli military and on social media, which showed Israel carrying out mass detonations in the villages of Taybeh, Naqoura and Deir Seryan along the Israel-Lebanon border. Lebanese media has reported more mass detonations in other border villages, but satellite imagery was not readily available to verify these claims. Continue reading...

From a piece I wrote about how every death is not a "death" but a murder. And how the conditions have been purposefully created to cause massive suffering, including but not in any sense limited to systemic murder.
All are in cramped conditions, with cells made for 66 housing 150. Others made for 6 hold 40. They sleep on the concrete floors, using their shoes as pillows. Lights are often on 24 hours a day (this is widely considered a form of torture). There is often only one toilet in the room for all the people, and it is filled with feces (which can also amount to torture).

Across the country, detention camps are known for purposefully making the facilities as cold as possible. Their food and water is often contaminated. They do not receive enough of either. Disease spreads as a matter of due course.

Medical care is denied as a standard practice. A diabetic woman is denied insulin, then has to be hospitalized. A man who is sick is told he is “faking it” and eventually discovers he has Tuberculosis. On and on.

When people inevitably undergo mental distress, they are put into solitary confinement. When they protest their conditions, they are beaten, flash grenades are thrown in their cells, and are often then moved to new facilities as punishment.

Women and transgender people in particular are regularly sexually abused, with reports of groping, forced oral sex, and more. Men are left shackled at times for entire days, sometimes either not given food or being forced to eat “like dogs” by sticking their faces into their plates. In many camps, they are engaged in forced labor. If they do not work, they may be punished with solitary confinement.

And, of course, there are the murders. While 8 people have been killed on the streets by ICE since Trump took power, 32 have died in ICE facilities. Most have died due to the purposeful medical neglect in the facilities, as well as suicide (again, due to purposeful mental health neglect). As well as actual murderous acts. But it’s all murder really.

The Binance crypto exchange has just filed a defamation lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal over its article reporting that Binance's own compliance investigators had found $1 billion in transfers to Iran-backed terror groups, and then were fired.
Binance Holdings Limited ("Binance" or "Plaintiff'), as and for its Complaint against Dow Jones & Company, Inc. d/b/a The Wall Street Journal ("Dow Jones" or "Wall Street Journal"), alleges as follows: INTRODUCTION 1. Binance brings this action against the Wall Street Journal for publishing a false and defamatory article on February 23, 2026, which is the subject of this complaint (the "Article"). In the Article, the Wall Street Journal made numerous false and disparaging statements about Binance, and did so knowingly, recklessly, or negligently, and despite the fact that Binance provided factual corrections prior to publication, which the Wall Street Journal disregarded. 2. Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and users. In addition to holding licenses, registrations, and authorizations in more than 20 jurisdictions, Binance is the first cryptocurrency exchange to have secured full authorization under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars in its compliance program, and a significant share of these resources is dedicated to maintaining a world-class compliance team. 3. Despite this progress, the Wall Street Journal and its reporters have made a business of maligning both the cryptocurrency industry generally and Binance specifically, regardless of facts and reality. Indeed, this strategy appears tailored to generating sensationalist headlines designed to drive pageviews and the Wall Street Journal's bottom line. The Article is a case-in-point. 4. Here, the Wall Street Journal ignored the strength of Binance's compliance program, disregarded specific facts provided by Binance, and instead chose to publish a false and misleading Article based on anonymous, unsupported sources. The Article begins with a false, defamatory and reckless headline, "Binance Fired Staff Who Flagged $1 Billion Moving to Sanctioned Iran Entities," and then launches into a narrative rife with bogus claims. 5. Spec. The Wall Street Journal claims that Binance diminished its compliance with law enforcement requests. That is false. The compliance investigation started as a result of law enforcement requests seeking information about transactions, and Binance complied with those requests and cooperated with law enforcement, while also conducting an independent investigation that resulted in Binance oflboarding user accounts it identified that were engaged in suspicious activity. d. The Wall Street Journal claims that Binance knowingly registered customers with false documentation and provided preferential treatment to those customers. That is false. Identity verification is mandatory for all customers. 6. The Wall Street Journal contacted Binance at the eleventh hour seeking any comment Binance had on identified points and questions related to the Article, and refused to grant a good-faith extension for Binance to respond. Binance nevertheless worked with all haste to get factual corrections to th
