This is one of the worst violations of research ethics I've ever seen. Manipulating people in online communities using deception, without consent, is not "low risk" and, as evidenced by the discourse in this Reddit post, resulted in harm. Great thread from Sarah, and I have additional thoughts. 🧵

1/ Professors! Administrators! When have syllabi become these unwieldly and, at times, unreadable documents that often, after the first day, go unread? Then we complain when students don't read the syllabus, but come on; it's pages long! I tried to cut my down, but it's still about ten pages long. 🙄

Some arguments against embracing Bayesian methods in nursing science relate to the lack of priors necessary for a genuine Bayesian approach. This is why, as an editor, I review studies with small samples, especially if the researchers are using a new instrument to measure a construct. A 🧵
