SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

People never used mods like this seriously, they were always made to prove a point: in the past, they were made to flex your understanding of both the source and the target game, "I documented them so well, I can do this". Now they flex... that you have tokens to burn, I guess?

A backrooms-ass room with a twilight sky and trees seemingly imposed over it in a dream-like fashion (it's the reflection of the window)

It'll never not be funny to me how many devs mess up setting Steam depots and packages when it is -pretty damn easy- if you care to understand what is what.

There's few kinds of mods I loathe more than "Fixes and improvements" that do their job well, BUT also include some meme edit that you can't opt-out of without modifying the mod yourself

If I add a DWORD "BingSearchEnabled" with value 0 in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search" suddenly the results are instantaneous.
