So for anyone on Bluesky who has fedi and wants to stay in touch, my main profile is: verse.averagedood.xyz/@nube I'm saying this because I think I'll stop using wafrn, I'm just a little bored of having 2 accounts so I think I'll stick with my usual account. Hugs n.n

Attached: 1 image So, I wanted to verify something about how Bluesky handles adult content. So as seemed reasonable for doing a test, I logged in my test account. I immediately found my test account was banned from seeing nudity. On investigation, I found my test account is permanently flagged as *mandatorily* region-locked for: Brazil; Russia; Turkey; India; and Germany. I cannot turn the moderation for any of those five countries off. Not even using Blacksky, not even with a self-hosted PDS. What in the fuck?

I have always preferred GTK; for me, I have idealized that that's how Linux should look. But today I've migrated some apps to Qt alternatives that I really like, and... I'm having doubts about my preferences owo

Hey everyone, controversial question: do you prefer Qt or GTK?

Nube @nubesu.at.app.wafrn.net · 26/10/2025
I currently use something arch-based, rolling release. And I love it and really like it. But rolling release comes with certain compromises, such as being willing to accept that something might break or that updates might pile up. In the end, I don't think it's a good idea for beginners.

Nube @nubesu.at.app.wafrn.net · 26/10/2025
Well, I suppose Manjaro is good for beginners, even if it's Arch-based, but I couldn't say for sure. I was referring to pure Arch anyway.

Nube @nubesu.at.app.wafrn.net · 26/10/2025
Linux for beginners, simple: anything debian based or ubuntu based is very good for you, to start I mean. I'm not saying they're perfect, but it's not a good idea for your first distro to be Arch or NixOS if you don't know what you're getting into xD

Having comments on a static site in a serverless way should be easier u.u I've been searching and testing third-party comment services for my blog for a day now, and I'm still looking. If I could do this myself, I would. I want to replace my current implementation.

One Punch Man 3 has been my anime disappointment of the year. I was expecting a decent anime. I knew I couldn't expect high production values, but what came out is just embarrassing and sad.

In the end, I'll stick with Sakura. It doesn't get updated as often, but it's still my favorite. Alacritty and Kitty are fine, but they're not for me.

My favorite terminal emulator is Sakura, I love it, but I'm open to try others. So, I'm trying two big names: Alacritty and Kitty I really like Alacritty tbh but, I miss to have a GUI to set things, now It's time to try kitty n.n

Now using Hyfetch with macchina as backend, I don't think I'll be going back to Fastfetch. I mean, it's good, but the configuration has become more deep and complicated, lol. This just works and it's easy

I mean, when I think of Windows XP, this is one of the first things I remember. For a nerdy kid like me, Merlin was just too cool.

Tbh, if you're going to feel nostalgic for any old Windows mascot, Merlin was much cooler than Clippy.

In the end, the best option is simply to use yt-dlp+mpv to play videos and freetube to track new videos and search for content. I have a script adapted for my use case. Every time the freetube team fixes something, YouTube breaks it. It really seems that only yt-dlp can win.
