Saw a bunch of National Guard members out guarding a section of the Mall yesterday. Its most prominent feature was a humongous line of portapotties. Asked what they were guarding and one of them said ‘I have no idea. They just told us to stand out here.’ Says a lot

I will absolutely defend the right of any person of whatever faith to bring that faith to the public square, arguing and organizing for the changes they think are demanded by their faith. But the genius of our system is that they have to do it on their own time and their own dime.
