Logging off! As announced on Patreon, I’m going on a little vacation. I’ll try and touch some grass for a change, so expect a reduced activity over the next few days (although I know FOMO will kick my ass).

"Marathon" vinyl is "def happening", tells me composer Ryan Lott on IG. Bungie first announced it along with the game's release back in March.

Good to finally see some proper coverage of this kind of issues, but this isn't news. VGM composers have been facing similar fraud for years now, and I see like 10 of them every week. Just today: a fake RE4 album has been uploaded to Kota Suzuki pages (on all DSPs, not just Spotify).

Jennifer English is stepping down from her leading part in the upcoming Tides of Annihilation. (Source: her latest IG story)

Screenshot of Jennifer English latest Instagram Story. Read:

I'm really grateful to have been part of Tides of
Annihilation since the game's inception and to have
worked with such a lovely team.

Recently, I've found myself needing to slow down and
reassess the commitments I've taken on. After
careful thought, I've realised I need to take time to
rest and properly look after my mental and
physical health. With that in mind, I've made the
difficult - yet personally necessary - decision to step
away from the project as it moves into its next phase.

During this transition, I was pleased to help
introduce the Tides of Annihilation team to a very
talented actor who I believe is a wonderful fit for
Gwen. Having seen her passion, talent, and care for
the craft, I'm excited for players to hear her
interpretation of the role and can't wait for players
to experience what she brings to Gwen.

(Although I'll be stepping away from the role, I'm
happy to remain involved with Tides of Annihilation
as an advisor, and I look forward to supporting the
team and Gwen's journey in a different capacity.)

I wish the entire team nothing but success, and I'll be
cheering them on as they continue bringing the
game to life.

Thank you for your understanding and support

Stephen Barton (Star Fox, Titanfall 2, Star Wars Jedi, Apex Legends) is the composer behind the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. 20 years ago, he and Harry Gregson-Williams were already in charge of the score for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Screenshot of a Stephen Barton Instagram post. Reads:

Ok so cat no. 2 this week is out of the bag, and it's going back to where it all started. My first game almost 20 years ago, with @harrygwmusic, was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Little did we know what we were starting...
Today I am thrilled to announce I'm back with the incredible team @infinityward, scoring MW4, releasing this October. This game has it is all; an incredible story, insane action, gut-punching moments, and it gets right to the heart of what makes this series tick. Big love to Jonathan and everybody @spiderfarmproductions, and to my team who has been there all the way on this score, particularly @maxmcguire and @henrivartio. We also have a whole host of amazing musicians from around the world, including some superstars from South Korea - I can't wait for you to hear this music.
It's an honour to be back. Head over to @infinityward for a first listen of the score!
