You know where the power lies Which side are you on?

A comparison of messages between Stop Killing Games and the European Commission: Stop Killing Games wants to play the games they paid for, the Commission wants you to submit your face or ID to play private Minecraft servers with your friends or else you're breaking the law. At the bottom, text reads "Which Message will Resonate with Voters?"

This is good news, but don't get too comfortable yet. It only took one US senator to stop a fast track. KOSA will come up again as a standard vote, so we must stay vigilant. Almost all of the senators support KOSA so call them & make it a midterm issue. SACK THEM ALL!!!

Tech is entering its prohibition era. We've been here before.

Governments are seeking to set restrictions on popular tech. Though well-intentioned, the bans are easier said than done.

I don't draw much #freedomplanet stuff nowadays, but here is some recent stuff I've done. The gals were done as a warm up and the Spade was drawn during a magma session with friends. Love my red glasses wearing scrungle.

Warm up sketches. Head shots featuring Sash Lilac, Carol Tea and Milla Basset from Freedom Planet 2. It was a study on Tyson Tan's style.

Spade from the first Freedom Planet game. He's casually leaning against a wall, wearing his red glasses. His left hand adjusting it.
All done on magma, drawing with friends.

So I kinda have a headcanon that Spade and maybe Neera as well are albino pandas who use hair/fur dye+contact lenses to hide this which would explain Neera also lacking the eye markings etc #freedomplanet

Here's the main points from the site page. This is how Discord is going to implement it. While it sucks they're doing this, they're pretty much covering their asses to get any governments off their backs. The blame should still be put on those stupid ID laws.

TLDR

•More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.

•You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.

•If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.

•We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.

I just read through it and from what I could gather, they actually taken in some feedback. For the most part, they're going to implement it to where it doesn't require selfies or ID cards. This isn't something to cause any of y'all to nuke your Discord accounts or go into mass hysteria.
