Let's say I was inspired to add this to Freedom Planet Architect's GitHub:

AI is not allowed for generating code, art, music, sound effects, translations (and more) for contributions to this game project. All AI-related PRs will be rejected. No AI usage is allowed for Freedom Planet Architect. All work must be done by your own hands.

"AI" refers to local and subscription-based large language models, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Grok, etc.

Formally speaking, AI-generated code is based on sources of unknown origins and may not be compatible with the license of the project. Furthermore, it has never shown to understand the reason behind the issues that users may encounter. It has always come up with incorrect solutions that lead to performance regressions and unmaintainable code.

In addition to these coding inabilities of AI, it has no artistic reasoning. AI emphasizes flashy polish and excessive detail-work over fundamentals, (to mask its lacking fundamentals) which leads to art that is only average in quality or worse. An intermediate art hobbyist can see this as well as any professional.

AI is a data science machine, while art is not a math equation to be "solved". The artist's journey of self-improvement deepens creativity, inspiration, and technique, which leads to stronger ideas worth expressing in the form of art and music.

Armchair game developers willfully choose not to understand this outwardly. It would be an admission that, by skipping the artist's journey, their visual imagination is lacking and so are their ideas, in all faculties of inspiration. This gross, uninformed attitude is not allowed in Freedom Planet Architect's development.

I used part of my vacation to rework the hubs in Freedom Planet Architect! 💙 No more having a separate copy of each hub for every story state. It's 1 tidy map for each that loads sets of NPCs and warp triggers based on the story's state. Expanding the train station will no longer make me cry! 💔

Some time ago, I realized Final Nightmare being forced exclusive to Milla would be disliked for two reasons: Forcing Lilac/Carol mains to play as an unfamiliar character, and missing an opportunity for storytelling with all three girls. Which means uhh, *this thing* needed to exist. You're welcome!

I need to redo the stage layout for Taishan Mountain, but I've finally fixed the runaway NPCs gimmick: They display their text like everything else in FP1 does, instead of with the slower NPC dialog box. Most of the time, the dialog box didn't finish scrolling through text before disappearing, lol
