I just found out that there is a huge flaw when it comes to playing as Fark in #SparkTEJ. If you keep holding the attack button while still attacking, you do not gain any energy until you release the button. That means that there is a chunk of energy you are missing out, making the game a bit harder

I noticed when I wrote the story outline in detail for each scene in Float's Story is that the mod is not that friendly to get into, if you haven't played the previous games. So I most likely need to write a prologue summarizing the events of the first 3 games.

I was never a fan of the fall damage mechanic in Spark 3 but then I realize there are sonic fans larping about the game and say that you can fly all over the level design when you literally have the fall damage mechanic preventing you from doing that nonsense.

Sonic fangames are crazy because via a game of telephone, Sonic fans have invented a new gameplay style that no other game has. Its really funny because any fast 3D physics-driven platformer will get compared to Sonic now when no official Sonic game looks or plays like that.

On that note, if you want to see what happens when someone does something new with F-Zero, XF: Extreme Formula is an F-Zero like racer but with a story mode that has you living the racer life, doing contract work (including on-foot platforming/brawling) to buy upgrades for your racing ship.

The removal of jester powers from Spark 3 and leaning into more sonic elements is something that made the game feel a bit empty. Not sure how to explain my thoughts, but it is like as if a part of its identity is missing from the series.

Okay, this isn't a live-service game. It's a small, $15 regular 5v5 multiplayer game. The only DLC is a $5 'supporter pack' that gives every character one more skin and the soundtrack. It's exactly what people have been demanding because they HATE live-service games. And then gets punished as one!

So someone made a video on FP+ but most of the complains was the lack of music and sounds even though this was his mistake as he didn't follow the guide correctly. We pointed it out and asked him to redo the video but all that led was him getting upset and calling me rude. What is it with FP fans?

The creator of Freedom Planet Plus also did a fan-patch/expansion for Kirby Meets Sonic-like Spark The Electric Jester. Given that Spark had a bunch of long-standing bugs (especially regarding frame timing), I highly recommend it. Both Freedom Planet games and the Spark Trilogy are all good stuff.
