Slightly murky on Lonscale Fell today, but a lovely run nonetheless, leavened by the odd splash of light on the northwestern fells.

Compass confession: Lovesick stoicism got me so lost in Scotland's most unruly mountains I still don't know how I made it out alive
This tale of youthful misadventure (and a big mistake on the Cairngorm Plateau) defies all odds. It’s time to get it off my chest.

Sweltering run today, up Mill Gill, a quick dook in Stickle Tarn, then up Jack's Rake for Pavey Ark and Harrison Stickle, descending via Dungeon Ghyll. Humidity was so bad that even the wet tee shirt trick didn't work - I just ended up running while soaked in water from a reasonably hot bath.
Crag of Pavey Ark overlooking Stickle Tarn. Looking down on a glassy Stickle Tarn surrounded by green summer fells.
