That said, this is a very biased article about it being invented by Vista lol. Vista had a similar style, as did a lot of software from that era. And up until a weak time, everyone seemed to be in agreement about how tacky the aesthetic of that era was.

This does actually happen in Antarctica where the population is a big larger. People who spend a lot of time at one of the larger scientific bases there tend to pick up a unique accent which only exists among the people there. So the shitpost is a lot more realistic than you'd think

I think it's a semantic difference. One crowd is very firm on "it's listening not reading, in the same way that jogging isn't swimming." Then another crowd is hearing "audiobooks aren't reading" and are incorrectly assuming it's implying that audiobooks are lesser than physical books or ebooks.

I use Recharts and can recommend it. It feels a little over complex at times, but it's the best charting library I've found so far. Found a similar thing with Tanstack Charts. That library feels promising but still incomplete.

Yeah, before bluesky kicked up a fuss, I'd never even heard of this sentiment that listening was somehow a lesser mode of engagement than reading. Audiobooks are obviously not reading, but I was shocked to see people here automatically assume that meant they meant it was looked down on.
