I now have a new favorite play ground. At Pier 25 in Manhatten, two enormous sturgeons have been constructed for the purpose of play and education. The kids demanded we return the next day.
Play structures shown that are designed to look like giant sturgeon fish. A child climbs the side of the larger one.

Replied to this thread originally, but then was inspired to do more. I discovered "brick therapy" last Spring. Unfortunately, Lego is not terribly sustainable in a financial or plastic-generating sense. This weekend I tried something vaguely similar to me in the abstract: cable knitting. Stay tuned?

Excited to debut a new [introductory R workshop](github.com/BUMP-In-Sili...) for the BU Marine Semester with @daviesswphd.bsky.social and grad students. We adapted the very introductory material from data [carpentry](datacarpentry.org/R-ecology-le...) and will finish with a simple hands-on exercise.

I teach this paper in the Experimental Design grad class in our redesigned grad curriculum. I think it does a great job of teaching students how to articulate and test hypotheses with experiments in an abstract way so that the idea of "experiments" is not necessarily attached to any expectations
