RIP Jane Goodall. Her work captivated me as a girl and inspired me to be a scientist. She showed us the depth of animal lives and emotions while going against the scientific consensus at the time. Her voice is needed so badly at this time and it will be missed. Thank you, Jane.

Got my Covid booster today at a CVS in WA. The pharmacist said they could only give doses those over 65 and those who were high risk. She all but winked and said “we don’t have to ask condition you have, you just have to say yes.” It’s stupid you have to do that but at least it’s available.

He is very purry and is tolerating the cone, although eating and drinking is a little challenging. I ordered a couple of those surgery recovery onesies so I’ll have to post an update when they arrive!

Pretzel is making great progress! It took him about 24 hours to snap out of his drugged haze and start eating, which had us worried. Apparently he was “spicy” so he may have gotten some extra strong drugs at the vet. Anyway, he’s eating, drinking and pooping and we are thrilled.

He’s recovering at home! The kids have tucked him in with his favorite blanket and are trying not to fuss over him too much. Thank you everyone for helping us save Pretzel. I’ll keep posting as he recovers.

He’s home! Thank you so much to everyone for any help you provided. Pretzel lives!! It was a nerf bullet and two mystery rubber discs that are about nickel sized. I have no idea what they are but he’s still a big idiot and I am getting pet insurance so we aren’t in this situation again.
