I'm sick of AI apologists' straw man argument that critics represent an "anti-AI" binary. It misreads the fundamental criticisms of AI, and it's frankly insulting to critics well-versed in the tech. Here's a guide to going local, avoiding big tech's cost and privacy nightmare:

ChatGPT was never Google’s biggest threat; it was always its own hubris. With Search now being sacrificed on the altar of AI dominance, the time has come for users to get serious about moving off Google services. It’s not only destroying its products; it’s trying to further degrade the web itself.

Imagine if all music inventions were treated the way AI is. “The bassoon is an inevitable part of music now. We have to learn to live with it. You must find ways of incorporating bassoon into all music you create because the line between human and bassoon will soon become erased.”

I follow the dub techno artist Fluxion. This appeared in my feed today. Track titles appear similar. Artwork out of character, as is the music (ostentatious pop-trance, possibly AI-generated). If music services don't enforce name differentiation, what protects an artist feed from AI pollution..?
