The women around you are talking about the Cornell 7. Millennials remember speaking up. We tried to fix it. I am so sorry Gen Z. We wanted better for you.

Who is talking about the Cornell 7? Men, this affects you too. Talk about it. Rape culture is alive and well.

Sometimes I think about all the precautions I take as a woman. I share my location with trusted friends. I have a car that unlocks as I walk to it. I carry my bag close to me. I don’t wear head phones at night. I park close to the door and light. There are more. These are automatic. 1/2

Just last night I remembered another reason why you all need to make sure you get out to vote this year. In 2024, Wisconsin beat us in voter turnout and that is *unacceptable*. We can't let that happen again. www.mprnews.org/story/2025/0...

Wisconsin squeaks past Minnesota for the top spot in voter turnout

I don’t keep many valuables in my car. So the robbers took my banana bread and edibles but left my books. Since I forgot to lock my car, I don’t have broken windows. I am not blaming anyone bc this is a systemic issues. 🧵

How to find love in the cereal aisle is about a romance writer who has writer’s block. I loved it! It was original and fun #booksky

If you see them by Vicki Sololik is a must read. I don’t say this lightly. Youth homelessness is complex and they need so much support. Vicki cares deeply and used her privilege to help one kid which grew into an organization to help young people #booksky
If you see them book cover by Vicki Sokolik. Cover is orange with white type font and features a student with a backpack.

This book is simply gorgeous. I am not a sci fi person but this book is a nice balance of science and non science, meaning you do not have to have a space background to read it. What a surprise joy for me to read #booksky

The half has never been told by Edward E Baptist will be a classic book in understanding American capitalism. This is a hard read. It is heavy and necessary to learn the full impacts of slavery & how it is still here in a different form, ie prison labor. Highly recommend #booksky #nonfiction

When progressives win, we celebrate people getting services. When conservatives win we worry what services will people lose. We are not the same.

Does Angie Craig have policy priorities besides "fight Donald Trump" which she's had ample opportunity to do & has failed spectacularly at? Peggy Flanagan has been campaigning on Medicare for All, childcare affordability, no more money for endless wars, etc. What's Craig's plans?

I met with my surgeon today and she said my uterus and cervix were chronically inflamed. I cried. I cried bc I thought my pain was in my head and she believed me. She is the second gyno I had bc the first one didn’t believe my pain. The surgery recovery hurt but less than my pain before. 🧵

(CW: sexual harassment) I’ve given a lot of thought to the news surrounding the conduct of the Mayor, but I’ve struggled to attach a word to how I feel. The closest I’ve gotten is “heartbroken” in a number of ways. 1/

I have been following the story of St. Paul Mayor Kaoly Her’s repeated sexual harassment of city employees, and in light of this statement it is clearly time for her to resign her position as mayor. This is a breach of ethics and trust, and for Her to refer to it as “attempts at humor” is galling.
Text of St. Paul Mayor Kaoly Her’s statement on the allegations of sexual harassment as reported by Lou Raguse. It reads:
“Mayor Kaohly Her:
As Mayor, I take my responsibility to treat every employee with professionalism and respect very seriously. I recognize that some of my attempts at humor fell short of the standard I expect of myself. We have fully cooperated with the independent
investigation since it began in April and will continue to do so. I respect the investigative process and believe it is important to allow it to reach its conclusion. I remain confident that the full facts will come to light, and I will continue to focus on serving the people of St. Paul with integrity and dedication."

No one wants to come out and say they have been sexually harassed or assaulted. Those speaking out of Mayor Her are brave and should be supported instead of dismissed bc they are mostly men. Shame on Her for the behavior.

Starting to get out of my surgery fog. Pain has been easy to manage with thc. I didn’t take anything yesterday and I slept lots. I am telling myself that every minute I sleep is a minute of healing I need. Grateful to have a space to sleep peacefully, though my dreams are wild.
