Clank your shield if you too like older battle-worn knights

Hey dms! How do you huys usually prepare your #ttrpg sessions? I mainly just brainstorm around a central idea and ho from there with what would be cool, and what my players did/want.

I think I love being a DM more than a player. I pour so much love into the thungs thatvI do. I get to engage and share my thoughts with friends, and then write the story *with* them, and see what they do. Its truly beautiful. #ttrpg #dungeonmaster #gamemaster

in 1627 someone published a text called 'Woe to Drunkards' with an honest to goodness Chad knight vs. Virgin fop meme

"In a woodcut on the title-page of 'Woe to Drunkards,' a sermon preached by Samuel Ward, of Ipswich, 1627, the vices of that age are typically contrasted with the virtues of a former one. In the upper compartment we are shown what men were of old by the open Bible, the foot in the stirrup, and the hand grasping the lance; while in the lower, the degeneracy of their descendants is typified by the leg and foot, decorated with a broad silk garter and a large rosette; by cards and dice, and a hand holding at the same time a lighted pipe and a drinking cup with a cockatrice in it. Twenty years afterwards, these types would have been more strictly applicable, with the inscriptions merely transposed."

Im realizing my worlds beginning to trend slightly higher fantasy. Im going to reach a nice middle ground between Low fantasy, High fantasy, and dark fantasy for my project.

Hey, @bashman.bsky.social, is it fine if I heavily edit and redo some parts of Honor+Intrigue to make prototype rules for my setting Cavariae Holy? Mainly the pawn system, and character creation

Im sooo fucking evil with my latest ttrpg story idea. Bc i prepped the party for like, more light things "were making a village and everyone likes you! Lets make a friend together!" (The friend will betray them, the town will get turned into animated skeletons of people that they once knew) #ttrpg

I had this idea about a Knight, a Squire, and their very important Banner. I'm trying to sketch the Knight character to see what kind of world their story is set in. Low fantasy, early medieval? Leotards, big shoulders high fantasy? Fun stuff to think about!

A sketchbook page filled with ballpoint pen sketches of different tiny knight characters.

This was honestly such a joy to build! 🏴‍☠️ Deep dive will follow! #lego #afol #legocommunity #legosets #legomocs #legobricks #legoparts #rebrickable #bricklink #classiclego #legopirates #pirates

A photo of a finished custom Lego build: a redesigned version of the iconic 90's Lego Pirates set Forbidden Island. The set depicts a pirate base on a tropical island and features sandy beaches, a dock, a dungeon (opens up!), captain's cabin with trap door, armory, a row boat, gun emplacement, gibbet cage, rope bridge, a well, a chicken coup, a small tavern, a mast with crow's nest and a big shark!

The Twii are one of the oldest species of the Universe. A once nomadic, space merchant race, they settled on a moon in the Fractyl system due to the instability of protostars, and the great dying of the universe. They now live very humble lives, with a reverence for history, and the cosmos.
