I’m no musicman or anything but I went with the Mac Mini “Pro” since it has more USB ports. I already had my own monitors so it made sense go with a Mini. Ill say, MacOS takes a little getting used to coming from Windows in addition to me being a confused old man, but I don’t regret it for a second.

My understanding that being in Trial mode is fairly limited. Like I can’t make parties, trade items, or send mail. Stuff like that, but I’m not sure what else I can/can’t do. The early parts of the game when you’re training with the other team members gave a glimpse of what an M:I game could be. The amount of fun IOI could have with the rubber mask gimmick alone would be worth the hassle of getting that license. I’d also be way cool with IOI doing whatever they want.

I’ve been waiting for anything from this studio for about 6 years now. Better shut them down because they didn’t recreate Fortnite or whatever. Testing an idea out here. Displaying the Steam Deck onto the Trinitron. Seems to work fine, even though I don’t have much use for playing modern games this way. Great for weird emulation though. I just need to figure out how to get MAME working on emudeck so I can play Simpsons arcade, ad nauseam.

Only an hour+ in. It’s definitely interesting so far. The story focus feels weirdly ahead of its time. That leveling is neat? You really gotta play by its own set of weird rules. I guess they were going for something. Maybe the same category of “odd NES sequels” like Mario, Castlevania, and Zelda.

Resolutions are for failing right? That’s why I’ve decided 2026 is the year I finally play through all of the Final Fantasy series (or at least 1-10). The mind altering gummy I took last weekend told me it was a cool idea to buy the pixel remaster collection. FF1 is surprising me in its simplicity.
