Does Belfast have the 2nd highest number of asylum seekers in the UK, and do almost a fifth of them live in BT12, as claimed by DUP MLA Edwin Poots? ❌ No. 📊Belfast ranks 20th overall. 👥With 0.6% of the local population (1 in 167 people). ➡️ No data confirms the BT12 claim.

The removal of intimidation points for housing allocation is about to happen. It's shocking that people continue to be intimidated from their homes. It's most likely that the impact of violence will be taken into account under 'primary social need' factors but will need proper consideration.

Ending RTB Housing Executive properties needs to be on the agenda. It has ended for Housing Associations but not NIHE - why? Doesn't make sense when we have a common waiting list and allocations scheme for social housing- moreover a chronic housing shortage !!

As a parent of teens this is even more relevant than usual! Housing supply shortages year on year have a big part to play. The very complex Net Stock Model used to estimate future housing need places a lot of emphasis on household formation 🤔
