Spain may bring back indoor face mask rules as flu and COVID cases surge. Health leaders will meet on Dec 3 to decide whether masks should again be required in hospitals, health centers, and possibly other crowded indoor venues like cinemas or theatres to help reduce transmission. archive.md/2ySDF
A news webpage from the Express with a headline: “Spain in new mask rule as Covid and flu sparks crisis in hospitals.” A subtitle says Covid and flu have hit Spain badly again this year, one month earlier than in 2024. The article is written by Paul Withers, Rita Sobot, and Rebecca Robinson, with a timestamp of Sat, Nov. 29, 2025. Below, a large photo shows a healthcare worker wearing a blue surgical gown, face mask, protective eyewear, and purple gloves. They are holding a syringe and a vial, drawing up a vaccine or medication. The image has a blurred background and the Express logo and crest are at the top of the page.

Calling Long COVID a “shadow” and claiming the acute phase has “faded” is misleading. COVID hasn’t faded, it still causes waves of ongoing transmission, repeat infections, hospital pressure, Long COVID and deaths. It’s not a shadow; it’s still shining a light on an ongoing crisis. archive.md/9Tcay
A Forbes article titled “Long COVID’s Shadow Lingers” is shown. The top features a black Forbes logo. Below it is the headline, author credit, and publication date. A large image under the headline shows a giant red SARS-CoV-2 virus particle dominating the scene. A small human figure stands on a barren gray landscape, pulling ropes attached to the virus as if trying to drag or restrain it. The sky is cloudy and muted, emphasizing the struggle. The image visually represents Long COVID as an overwhelming force that continues to burden people.
