I almost wasted $140 by sending groceries to the hotel we stayed at in Orlando instead of our house. I caught it in time to only pay a $15 cancellation fee, but to the person who was going to do the delivery, I'm sorry.

gonna keep saying this: the anti-trans attacks in 2024 were really about the economy! the point wasn't "vote on trans policy," it was "Kamala's focused on this, Trump's focused on your pocketbook." and this line of wedge attack is a lot less convincing when your party has been in power for 2 years!

Something these assholes never get is that music is best when it's raw and imperfect. It's why live music is better than a studio album. It's why records are still collected. Losers like Nick will never understand hundreds of people singing along at a concert to lyrics that moved them

Every time I log onto LinkedIn, I see something insane like this. So you made 33% more than your boss and your boss was working at 6am and 11pm and the lesson isn't "she was being exploited by her company" for some reason.

My manager was making ~$75K. I was making close to $100K.

This was years ago but It still lives in my memory as if it was yesterday.

We found out the same day. I had recently changed departments.

She was one of the hardest-working women on earth.

6:00 AM emails.
11:00 PM Teams messages. 📩
Always on. Always supporting someone. Always carrying more.

I know hearing that hurt. I could see the shift in her face. And then she looked at me and said “You should be my manager.”

That stayed with me. 💔

Because she did not need to work harder. She was already doing everything. Sometimes the people carrying the most are not the people being rewarded accordingly.

And yet, the most impactful part of this story is this........She still works for that company today.

That taught me something.

Salary matters. But so do trust, flexibility, belonging, purpose, growth, relationships…...and the reasons people choose to stay.

Compensation is bigger than a paycheck. It reflects what matters most to you

Hitting Hurts late was a great play for the Bears. They paid no price for it and got an Andy Dalton INT rather than a tush push TD. NFL must be proud.

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Skydivers alert emergency crews, assist after plane crashes near East Troy airport

Four people were aboard the single-engine plane when it went down in a cornfield near Carvers School Road in East Troy at about 1:30 p.m.

The Dolphins have a realistic chance at going 0-17. ESPN FPI has them as an underdog every single game the rest of the year. Their best % chance 37.5% at home against the Jets.
