This captures the scale of negative impact and sheer size of Project Jupiter. This one project alone renders the state’s new climate action plan infeasible.

The US is alone among NATO and the Americas in having capital punishment. Still, we have seen “showing off” of executions by nations/controlling factions as barbaric, reason for asylum, authoritarian political brutality. The January 6 Mike Pence gallows and congress member “hunt” was foreshadowing.

Every interview, panel, convo and rally needs to include whether Cunningham (and other Rs) support Trump's idea to rename the state New America. And don't let him wriggle out by saying it's a state decision, and lead that into questions about our culture, federal control, and presidential power.

Important context for the Rural Health Transformation grants in NM. Yes, the state is running initiatives to regrant a lot of funding this year *and* it’s a fraction of cuts that will affect the state from the BBB. Also, the grants force specific uses rather than the generation of income from care.

Renderings show an ornate and gilded interior that departs from the simplicity of the original White House and echoes the look of the ballroom at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, a look he has said was inspired by the Palace of Versailles in France. A March budget for the new White House ballroom included nearly $6 million in gold leaf. The project also includes secure underground facilities that Trump has said are necessary for national security.

The federal government spends more money than it collects in taxes and other revenue. That difference is the federal deficit. Because America has developed this very large structural deficit, the cost of carrying its debt has become one of the government’s largest expenses.
U.S. Treasury has borrowed $155 billion every month of this fiscal year-and is now paying $24 billion a week in interest on its debts

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.
Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
13 When ballots are submitted to USPS in large-volume
batches, if any one ballot in the batch cannot be verified against the Portal, all ballots in that
batch will be rejected. For example, if a state election official brings a batch of 10,000 ballots to
USPS and USPS is unable to match just one of those ballots against the Portal – because, for
example, someone has recently changed their name after marriage or they’ve moved – then
USPS would refuse to mail the remaining 9,999 ballots as well. As the whistleblower notes,
