💢 Israeli attacks killed eight Palestinians, including four women, across Gaza on Saturday, Felesteen reports.

🔹 An Israeli airstrike on the ground floor of the al-Asala building near Haidar Abdel Shafi Roundabout in western Gaza City killed five people before dawn: Mary Hafez Abu Dawood and her daughter Maysa, both Christians; an elderly woman, Hallum al-Bubu, and her daughter, academic Dr. Yasmin al-Bubu; and Bilal Odeh

🔹 An Israeli drone strike near Abbas al-Kilani Roundabout in Beit Lahia killed Mahmoud Ibrahim Alyan, 35

🔹 Zain al-Din Hamdan died of wounds from an Israeli quadcopter drone attack days earlier in Nuseirat

🔹 Mohammed Talaat Aql of Jabalia camp died of wounds from Israeli gunfire days earlier in Deir al-Balah

🔹Several others were wounded in an Israeli strike near Ibad al-Rahman School in northern Gaza City and a drone strike on a home in Beit Lahia.Translating Falasteen (Palestine)

"Today, the blood of Christians and Muslims is mixed together in one scene," said Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defence, after an Israeli occupation airstrike before dawn on Saturday hit an inhabited apartment in the Al-Asala building in western Gaza City, killing five Palestinians, four of them women. Among them were Mary Hafez Abu Dawood and her daughter Maysaa, members of Gaza's Christian community, along with Dr. Yasmin Al-Bobo, her mother Hloum, and a young man, Bilal Khalil Odeh.

Mary and Maysaa were buried from the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius, the same church the Israeli occupation army bombed in October 2023, killing 18 displaced people sheltering inside. Basal said he still remembers his crews pulling bodies from its rubble. Speaking at the funeral, he called the strike a crime and said no one has the right to hold a death sentence over any civilian in Gaza. The killings come a year into a ceasefire the Israeli occupation has never stopped violating. At least 30 Palestinian Christians have been killed in Gaza since the genocide began.

🇪🇹 The 2022 Pretoria deal that ended the Tigray war left its promises unmet, former CIA analyst and NSC Africa director Cameron Hudson told Drop Site.

The deal excluded Eritrea, which "committed some of the worst crimes of that war," Hudson said. Once it was signed, "we all went our separate ways," and accountability, state reform and credible elections were "largely ignored."

The same grievances drive the new war, he said, but the Tigrayans have "nationalized" it through a seven-group alliance seeking to topple PM Abiy Ahmed.
