An aside, I was once exhibiting in an artist alley and my neighbor, an artist that drew versions of Stitch as different pop culture characters. It also turned out that he did storyboards for that film.

I was pretty unsettled after watching it. I’m glad I watched it, there were some great things about it, but it’s a hard film to recommend to anyone you don’t know well.

Just got back from the Second Annual Berwyn Lantern Parade in Proksa Park, which was absolutely magical. It was great to see all the creative lanterns and be amongst community and being apart of the parade.

If you haven’t seen “9 to 5” or haven’t seen it in a while, I highly recommend putting it on one day after work. It addresses a lot of issues that we sadly still deal with and the cast puts on some great performances.

Also any opportunity to see three different fantasy sequences involving Dabny Coleman being hunted makes for good cinema in my book. . I had forgotten a lot of it, and it was great to witness my wife astounded by increasingly wilder turns the film takes. 🧵

Watching it as an adult, I would definitely agree with anyone thinking that it would be a strange film to like as a kid. It seemed to be in heavy rotation when my family first got cable, and as entertaining a film it is to an adult it does have a lot of slapstickish parts.🧵

So the internet declared September 25 Dolly Parton Day because in the U.S. that date is abbreviated 9/25 or “9 to 5.” Coincidently, we watched that film the night before. My wife hadn’t seen it, but it was a particular favorite of mine from when I was a kid. 🧵

The alternative is that they wait until they’re in your ear to make that sound, like someone revving the engine of their muscle car. . Either option, I admire their confidence. I wish I was that confident.
