That's not it. He was on the Apple Silicon team and kept that information from the Asahi team... that's a big legal no no, WINE has similarly strict policies iirc, anything that isn't strictly clean room destroys their legal standing. (Separately, Asahi folks dislike AI. Their choice.)

The thing about Apple chips is that they are good and extremely power efficient. It's just a shame you can't just run Linux on them(I know Asahi exists but currently you're still missing out on power efficiency and a lot of the features).
