i think it's really, really bad that the most viable way for most websites to defend against attacks nowadays is to have a single company that hosts/defends/funds harassment groups/fascists and provides services to booters who do these kinds of attacks for payment act as a middleman to your server

dear distro package maintainers: when packaging libvips, _please_ ensure that you are marking _cgif_ as a dependency and not _giflib_ libvips doesn't use giflib! it uses cgif and a vendored libnsgif for handling the format!! you are shipping a package with broken gif encoding support!!!!
