Who knew caching would make an LSP faster!? The change here is that the translations from byte spans to line/columns is now somewhat cached (line index to byte offset)

Very slow LSP operations with some of them pushing well into 200ms

Very fast LSP operations where those previously slow ones are now all less than a millisecond

Oscilloscope traces showing the output square wave (10kHz, 0 to 3.3V) and two input channels. Both input channels show sine waves. The first input 1 has a level of 2V and amplitude of 1V, the green input 2 a level of 5V and amplitude of 2.5V. The green input 2 is phase shifted with respect to the yellow input 1 by 90 degrees. Both inputs have periods of exactly 32 square pulses of the output.

Nice (Quite specific benchmark, but an O(n) algo was replaced with an O(1) algo, which is great for big drivers)

New ddc is 2.9 times faster. Hyperfine shows the old executable took 240ms and the new one took 83ms

There could be a flag to turn off async Rust panics. It's good for binary size, but not better than panic-immediate-abort already is Would you use the flag while not using panic-immediate-abort (assuming both are stable)? I need to pursue or drop this flag and I want input to make the decision

You just type what you want and the machine will output the results you want. Sounds like AI. But also sounds like calculators when they were new. And yet, calculators are an afterthought in day-to-day life now. So in 50 years, will AI take up any significance day-to-day for the people then?

Godbolt's Compiler Explorer now supports build systems (like cargo). This is so cool! I use Compiler Explorer quite a bit when playing with AArch32 stuff in Rust, to check I'm getting the kind of instructions I expected but I was limited to single files. Having cargo support is game changing.
