Not wanting an abuser to be working in a public facing position is not the same as casting them into exile I know it feels that way when you're a fan of their public facing content, but that's kinda why it matters that they shouldn't be in that position It dilutes anything resembling consequence.

Hey, y'all. "Innocent until proven guilty" is a term intended for the court system, where a defendant isn't guilty 'til a trial finds them to be so. It doesn't mean that you don't use your own fucking common sense & good judgment to stay away from bad people. You're not imprisoning them. Thanks.

It took years for abuse cases like Vic Mignogna & Kiba Walker to go public. Many stories of abuse or shady practices in entertainment are cautious & anonymous because of threats whistleblowers face to hide facts. Speak the truth you can. The Truth is worth its weight in gold.

It makes me sad to know that if some of the awful people who’ve been called out and ostracized were working in casting they woulda never been called out and ostracized because most folks won’t dare speak up against someone who can offer them work. I’m proud of those who did speak out, regardless.

Dear Allies, Saying things like: “But you don’t LOOK like a trans woman!” Is NOT a compliment and NOT something to say to someone. It is a demeaning slight towards all trans women and tells us that YOU don’t view diverse bodies as valid.

Monica Rial is guesting at a convention in San Antonio next weekend, and the Facebook comments are flooded with almost nothing but heinous sexist replies and wishing death on her. If you're wondering which people are the Not Good people, it's the people that do this.

Monica Rial appearance advertised for Collect-A-Con in San Antonio, TX August 15th and 16th.
