I don't know if it's a sign of just how dire other things are or if it's a sign of how numb we all are to gun violence or both, but it's remarkable how quiet it is on my feeds right now about Oregon.

Just finished watching How to Get to Heaven from Belfast and I am so annoyed that Netflix canceled this show after one season. It is a weird and delightful show and there aren’t enough weird and delightful shows!

Successful stroller walk with the baby and the fall colors continue to be lovely. ❤️ Gotta soak up the sun and these blue skies before Syracuse winter hits…
Walking path at a park with trees that have changing colors, particularly orange and red. Nearly clear blue sky.

Today’s attempted stroller excursion with the baby did not come to fruition, unfortunately, due to a diaper blowout and a massive crying episode. I need ice cream.

a lot of people are replying with 'what are you going to do about it,' and while every level of government could do more, the powers the *DC City Council* has in this situation are comparatively limited. This isn't just voter intimidation, but an argument for statehood for the District of Columbia.

A positive review of "Interlaced" from Textura! And aww, Annie Laver feels like a sibling to me at this point. ❤️

Took the baby for her first stroller excursion on the Erie Canal trail. She lasted maybe half a mile before she started crying and we had to turn around. I still see this as a huge win. Also it’s really looking like fall. ❤️

missing from this argument is the fact that Williams is an extraordinarily rich college with students who are overall very well-prepared for college—essentially none of this is generalizable even to a flagship university, much less any other higher education institution

Astonishing to see it even being discussed. One highly placed person told me they supported AI grading in large classes because “it’s better than nothing.” when I asked why the university couldn’t hire enough people to grade those students’ work he said “well that’s not realistic.”

The only thing I'll remember about Lindsey Graham is his mistreatment of Dr Christine Blasey Ford. Acting apoplectic at nonsensical details because he knew the most powerful misogynist in the world was watching him. I've never seen a man debase and humiliate himself so much.
