Posting a vampire who isn't dracula

Havn't updated much about any recent show happenings but here's a thing: "Literacy Parts the Clouds of Ignorance" was sold at Danforth East Arts Fair within the first hour or so. A great start for a great weekend. Paintings tend to hang around for a bit but this one took wings!

The most basic ethics is material provision of the other. This is arrived at by works and institutions of justice. People are starved for basic things that also deprive them of dignity, not a good story. A "good story" here is just propaganda to maintain the status quo: ensure the good not happen.

My second pandemic poster, "Full Mobilization" (2020) is an original design that focuses on the economic response to the cat world pandemic. Imagine what could happen if economies controlled by the people could be geared toward social need.

The cats looks up concerned and its other paw gestures toward a medical worker cat in PPE. The image is spliced at top and bottom with a diagonal slash of red. Paw Wash (2020) based on the 1931 public health poster "Wash your hands after work and before eating." I imagine it a difficult task convincing cats that the widespread practice of licking paws clean was not best practice and could contribute to disease spread.

Trying to take it easy after a week of very long days preparing and vending FanExpo but it is time for an update. US patrons will still find no shipping to the US at this time except for tshirts. The tariffs hit just as show prep was needed and I have yet to work out a solution.

I get to look at this big, epic painting of my cat everyday and kinda feel this way about it.

A colourful painting in bright reds, yellows, greens and blue. Crowds of cats, citizens, sailors, and soldiers, assemble and march through the snowy streets during the cat revolution. A colossus of a cat holding aloft a huge red banner that weaves its way through the streets over the head of the crowd marches steadfastly forward toward the palace.

The tariff ghouls have stirred again. If they awaken Wednesday, US customers will be looking at up to a +50% charge on items. Yep, printed works of art are on the list. It will be a huge hit as a good deal of the business side of things here is with US fans.
