Toxic behaviour and dehumanization of people with disabilities are on the rise, with politicians, companies, & others making life harder for them. History warns us to prevent repeats. You may not be disabled today, but the future is uncertain. Advocate and support now for all and yourself. #a11y

Today: Politicians and some places are... Ridiculing and mocking people with disabilities. Suppressing American Sign Language. Cancelling, defunding, or restricting research programs on disabilities and accessibility. Calling Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility programs as wasteful, radical, and "woke". Blaming disabled folks for irrelevant incidents. Many more happened and is happening... It is just starting now.

Have you tried South Korean Spicy chilli paste+oil thing? I was told there are spicier ones than I have. I dunno if these will meet specific tastes you wanna have. But I like these. (I prefer wasian and South Korean Spicy over Sri Lankan spicy. So I dunno I am being helpful).

It still is okay not to make major "achievements" in your careers. It is okay not to have a job this year. I am sure you made major achievements in your life. You might have made an impact on someone unknowingly - Just like @alexaheinrich.bsky.social made on me.

I didn't make any significant progress with my careers or life in this year either. I started and ended the year as a job-seeker. I have done 20-something interviews for 2000-something applications. But I am happy with them as it gave me 20000-something motivation to make the world better.

I started reading Alexa's Accessible Social earlier this year. Then I slowly started to become conscious to make everything I do accessible to others (I still have a long way to go though). I also reflected on my experiences at the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association and ERGs and Accessibility Plan work group at Canadian Western Bank. Those experiences and my own living experiences gave me strength and ideas on how I can make the world inclusive and sustainable. Looking forward to climbing that uphill.

It still is okay not to make any "achievements" in your careers. It is okay not to have a job this year. I am sure you made major achievements in your life. You might as well have made an impact on someone unknowingly - just like Alexa made on me.

I am thankful to my friends, families, former colleagues, and job coaching programs I joined in November. You all made big achievements to me! I hope you celebrate them. 🤗

I know right, sigh. Telegram's fun stuff and stickers didn't even help them to stay :( In South America, some businesses and services are done through WA though. So it was much more accessible for me than those goddamned apps, phone calls, and texts we use here in NA. btw, Try Adguard.

One of the recommendations both my therapist and job coach gave me was to write down my ideas, notes, and thoughts in addition to typing them on screens. The board on my door was so useful over a few weeks that I put up a whiteboard on my wall too!

Nice - But this could have been a lot BETTER than this. Sigh. Diapers, formula, over counter medicines, and medical or assistive aids should be tax-free. The disabled, unemployed, and seniors could use tax credits or rebates. Every cent matters to them than taking-outs or morning coffees. #CDNpoli

After I got laid off last December, I leaned on EI, savings, and freelancing while gaining clarity with my ADHD diagnosis. While applying for disability support and seeking jobs, I became a new deaf solopreneur. Feeling emotional about this transformative year. Yet so grateful for the lessons! 🙏🏽

Made a skeet in Sinhala and changed post language to Sinhala. An excellent feature I have seen on Mastodon too. Many folks can express themselves freely and customize what languages they want to see on the social media. Quite handy to follow folks who posts more than one language. #BlueSkyThings
