Naomi Franq - UNWANTED GUESTS out now! @naomifranq.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

Giddy up, it's time! Come back the DEVIL'S CLAIM, a western horror art zine produced by @thevelvetcompote.bsky.social ft art & literature from over 50 creators, myself included! All sales will go to the Native American Rights Fund, so let's make it happen 🌵🐴 www.kickstarter.com/projects/the...

A cropped illustration of a shadowed man with crimson antlers and clawed hands, surrounded by a desert night and crimson-horned jackalopes.

CHARITY ANNOUNCEMENT: All artbook proceeds after printing, shipping, & contributor compensation will benefit NARF, the Native American Rights Fund. They provide legal advocacy for Native tribes and individuals, fighting for tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, and protection of Indigenous communities. The "Wild West" was built on stolen land and the violence of colonization. Supporting Indigenous-led organizations is a small step toward accountability and honoring that truth.

This is something I find myself thinking about every time I get to talk to young, hopeful creators (at cons, or when I've been invited to talk to classes, etc). It's an industry of uncertainty, and one that's usually the first expense sacrificed when people need to cut spending. But I still love it

DEAD TEENAGERS #3 is out this Wednesday, May 20. As a preview, I will tell you that Claire got her Emmy after I Googled various award statues to see which one would make the best weapon.

Claire, now very famous, says: "Did you know I dated the French prime minister? Also, I won an Emmy for Best Guest Performance on Law & Order: SVU."

Claire variant cover by Naomi Franq, featuring a very sharp Emmy.

Since issue two of "Dead Teenagers" drops today, I thought I'd share my cover for it (as well as the color thumb I used to plan it). Lots of fun rendering the details here. Now to go find a pool without the floaters... @oni-press.bsky.social

Covor illustration for the comic series "Dead Teenagers." A blonde woman in a blue bikini floating on a pink inflatable in a pool. There are two dead bodies floating face-down in the water nearby, their blood swirling in the water.

April fool

Two-panel comic

First panel: axolotl kiki says that it is already April.

Second panel: axolotl is crying, saying that it is not a lie.

An atmosphere where axolotl wish all of this were a lie.
