Earlier, while in the shower, I had a thought about a story I've been working on and in the process settled a terminology issue I'd been struggling with. I'm still far too pleased with myself; you'd think I'd math'ed out some scientific breakthrough.

It is in fact not a sin. Especially since there's scientific evidence that it can improve the flavor slightly.

Since its spoopy month, we reflect on the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

Screencap of a post by the library haunter
SketchesbyBoze
we love Edgar Allan Poe because he portrays universal human emotions like loss, grief, unrequited love, burying your enemy alive in the cellar and being scared out of your mind by a bird.

No need to apologize, I could have been clearer! I even had a moment after posting where I was like "should I follow that up with a 'just kidding, for the record,' and worried that would make it weird. (Whoops!)

Oh, I know, sorry, was mostly joking about it being a step up.

Chris Shaffer, aka MythicFox @mythicfox.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

To be fair, given how often I've had previous versions just *fail* at the troubleshooting and I have to look up the "keep downloading and reinstalling the patch" response myself, that is arguably a step up.

A good fresh Star Trek take on those fake isekai title jokes

A tumblr screenshot showing a post and two reblog responses, reading:
1. "star trek would be the ideal fictional universe to get trapped in because you'd explain your situation and they'd be like yeah makes sense. no further questions. fortunately we can use the mysterious warp signature emitting from this system's icy moon to counterface with the solar radiation and slingshot you back home"
2. "I'm from a universe where your world is all a work of fiction." Benjamin Sisko, nodding. "That happened to me once."
3. "I Got Isekaid Into The Star Trek Universe And They Quickly Understood What Was Happening"

tremors and jaws are both great movies, and Jaws probably succeeds more as a work of horror. but Tremors is actually perfect. an almost unique example of a film executed flawlessly in line with its vision.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the problem is about Sunny directly affecting the dagger. I think it's more that Sunny has unintentionally undone the ward against dimensional travel, and the dagger is about to bring something through.

DoorDash spent $1.4 million trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming NYC mayor. Mamdani just made them pay $131.5 million in wage theft settlements to 264,000 delivery workers. This is why they fear working class solidarity. It comes with accountability.
