iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Been away touching grass and doing degen things. This trend will likely continue for the foreseeable future. Anyway, hi! Happy #FractalFriday! Here’s some #fractal #art for you to enjoy. 🌈 Radiant Geometry

$A fractal flame render featuring a complex lattice structure composed of multiple layers of brightly colored squares and rectangles that create a mesmerizing geometric pattern. The squares range in size and are outlined in neon hues of blue, pink, green, and orange, creating a vibrant rainbow effect against the darker background. The intricate overlapping of translucent shapes gives an impression of depth and three-dimensionality, with the central part of the image seeming to glow with a bright, digital luminescence. The overall effect is a visually stimulating grid that appears to pulse and shimmer with energy.$

Big milestone! ✅ Federated domain handles ✅ Federated feed generators (algorithms) ✅ Federated relays (event firehose) ✅ Federated app views (API service) ✅ Federated data for self-hosters (PDS hosting) ✅ Federated moderation (labeling) 🚧 Federated data for large service providers (coming soon)

Holy crap. I’ve been on Bluesky for over a year. Alt text: Fractal render depicting a complex, symmetrical pattern with fiery orange and electric green hues against a dark background. Rainbow-colored layers of swirling, organic shapes and spiraling textures radiate from a bright blue central disk.

Happy #FractalFriday! Here’s some new #fractal #art. Stellate Flora

$Fractal flame render appearing to depict a radiant, stellate composition reminiscent of a flower or a starburst, glowing intensely in shades of blue against a deep, dark background. The central point emits strong, white light that fades into cyan and navy blue, with thin beams stretching outwards, creating the appearance of brilliant petals or rays. Around the central starburst are scattered circles of light, varying in size and opacity, reminiscent of soft bokeh effects created by unfocused lights. This fractal artwork conveys a sense of cold energy and the tranquil beauty of a night sky speckled with stars.$

How many times should you follow up after an interview to take the L and just accept that you’re being ghosted? Waiting to hear back on a prerecorded video interview, a first interview, and a second interview with no responses after a follow-up email to each. Also, WTF is up with this trend??

Learn to code, they said. So I learned to code. Well enough to teach other people to code. Get a STEM degree, they said. So I got a STEM degree. A Bachelor’s isn’t enough, they said. So I got a Master’s. Almost two years, hundreds of applications, and many interviews later? Still unemployed.

I'm still LFW as a geospatial/GIS data scientist/analyst, ideally in ag or climate. Specifically, I'm looking to be directly connected with/introduced to someone who can hire me for this sort of role. I'd especially love to work for Planet Labs or Google Earth/Earth Engine/Maps. Portfolio link:

Having grossly underestimated the popularity of Hildegard von Bingen, I have been having trouble keeping her portrait in stock. But I pulled a new edition this morning so it’s once again available! 👩‍🔬🧪🐡 #histsci minouette.etsy.com/listing/1567...

This is my hand-printed 11" x 14" lino block print of Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179), surrounded by plants and a mineral she touted as medical treatments, her invented alphabet and model of the universe, on lovely ivory Japanese washi paper. She is printed in dark blue on cream coloured washi paper. She is dressed in a habit holding a scroll with one of her Gregorian chants in Medieval musical notation. Her model of the universe is depicted on her habit. Clockwise from the top, she is surrounded: by tansy (Tanacetum vulgare); common comfrey (Symphytum officinale); mandrake (species in the genus Mandragora, either Mandragora officinarum or Mandragora autumnalis); sulfur; lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) and quince (Cydonia oblonga). Above and below Hildegard is the alphabet along with her own alternate alphabet Litterae ignotae which she used for her own Lingua ignota (Unknown Language).

Sheeesh this painting is vibrant! Finishing the outermost ring of colors and connecting the hexagons to the main painting. Next up is the dreaded stars & background galaxies 💀. There are not as many stars as there were in my Pillars of Creation painting, so it shouldn’t be too time consuming!

Artists new to Bluesky...If you want people to share your work here, get used to adding alt-text. Many if not most folks expect you to add it and if you don't they won't share your work...and some may block you. There's a require Alt-Text setting you can turn on if you need a reminder.

The screenshotted posts (in response to someone, fairly thoughtfully, building a ATProto / ActivityPub bridge), claiming that it violates copyright law, and is possibly *criminal* once again highlights how, for some people, copyright has become the "censor anything I dislike" tool.
